I began my journey as a visual arts teacher about five years ago. Prior to becoming a public school art teacher, I worked as a graphic designer for about 15 years for various companies. I have done extensive work as a muralist, commercial sign painter, and interior designer for homes and businesses through out Los Angeles. I have also exhibited my paintings in multiple group and solo exhibitions in Los Angeles as well as abroad. I graduated from Cal State University Long Beach and received my Bachelor's in Art Education and my teaching credential as well. This is my second year here at Renaissance High and it has become a dream come true to be part of this great community of creative and talented minds.

                                       My Visual Arts Philosophy

“In this course of study, students will create, wonder and navigate imaginations. Students will learn to build on their artistic technical skills, master critical concepts, and inform themselves about art-history and the knowledge found in it.  In my class, students will express themselves, students will respect each other’s creativity and learn to critique each other’s art works using the language of the visual arts.  Students will discover their unique and creative voices, learn about careers in the visual arts, and engage in the creative process. In this course, we will make success an art form!
